He started from the nearby river of his village that is river Jeera of Bargarh, Odisha. He started off with building very raw sand arts which was the foundation of his career. He made sculptures like common god and goddesses which he could perceive in his mind. He already had the passion for what he was doing so he started to think for making a living out of his passion. Along with the time he managed to elevate his career and status. He also got the recognition starting from home town to abroad. Gradually he took up the challenge to popularize sand art as the profession and hence started to bring sand art to the community on various occasions at different places.
