Jeet had an innate talent and inclination towards drawing and designing as a child. His interest in fashion, though, started to take serious shape during his school years. Being a teenager, he was intrigued by the way clothes can be an expression of oneself and how the old forms of art could be reinterpreted in the form of contemporary design. Encouraged by his family and friends, Jeet dreamed of becoming a fashion designer. Following the completion of his school studies in Odisha, he moved to a larger city to learn fashion design in an academic setup.
